No Apologies Camp 2008 Talent Nite - Promo 4 Screening

In the weeks leading to the No Apologies Camp, a series of promos were shown in church. But this was the unexpected grand finale of the Talent Nite which brought the house down!

No Apologies Camp 2008 Talent Nite - Flame (Kung Fu Movie)

The final act for the night!

Rules: Participants were given a CD soundtrack containing 6 random songs, and a movie genre to act out. Flame chose Kung Fu Movie.

Starring David, Ju Ping, Benjamin, Jhou Weh, Li Wei, Joel Lee, Li Yin, Melissa, Janice and many more!

Synopsis: A kung fu master and his entire family is murdered by an intruding villain. However, one son survives and grows up in an adopted family - till one day he discovers his true identity and vows revenge...

Highlights: Auntie Li Wei, Sifu Joel, Li Yin's "hey hey you you", Benjamin's Mortal Kombat battle, and of course...of course...MAI FA!

Fun fact: One of the judges' comments for this sketch was, "Why does everyone act so sissy?!" LOL.

No Apologies Camp 2008 Talent Nite - Bear Bear (Thriller)

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, grab your blankets and turn off the lights. It's time for the highlight of the night.

Rules: Participants were given a CD soundtrack containing 6 random songs, and a movie genre to act out. Bear Bear chose Thriller.

Starring Bear Bear, Hon Hoong (Ying Hung Gor), Yi Wen, Ji Mao, Lian Juang, Yi Bing, Penny, Rachel, Jake, Ben, Jonathan and many more!

Synopsis: A peaceful island getaway turns into a nightmare when a killer emerges amongst one of the Bear Bear members. But who is it, and what is the killer's motive?

Highlights: Top-class acting from the Best Actor and Actress, Ji Mao and Yi Wen. Lian Juang's newscaster-style narration. Dramatic sense of urgency conveyed by the supporting cast, especially Yi Bing who really cried. The hanging girl. "Jou jek mao, jou jek gao, dou ng jou lei ge lui yan ah!" (I'd rather be a cat or dog than your woman!). Heck, the entire sketch was a highlight!

Fun Fact: The hanging girl scene was so horrifying that it caused one of the campers to cry through the whole night.

No Apologies Camp 2008 Talent Nite - Jokers (Gangster Movie)

Rules: Participants were given a CD soundtrack containing 6 random songs, and a movie genre to act out. Jokers chose Gangster.

Starring Yee San, Noah, Yi Lin, Nicholas, Deric, Charmaine, Faith, Joey, Jeffrey, Phoebe, Wei Wen, Joel Wong and many more!

Synopsis: 'Jeffrey' is a famous racer who challenges 'So So Bo' to a duel. In the pursuit of glory, he forsakes his girlfriend only to suffer haunting consequences... Will he ever find his true love again?

Highlights: Yee San's authentic Taiwanese accent, the 'Fast & Furious' race, Pastor Deric.

Fun Fact: The real Jeffrey and Phoebe are still very good friends.
